📖 God’s Word
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness...”
— Genesis 1:26a (NIV)
📚 The Story
In the beginning, God created everything — the forest, the river, the fish, the birds, the sun, and the stars above. He made it all with love.
Then God created human beings. He formed them from the dust and breathed life into them. He made men and women in His own image — with dignity, love, and purpose.
But sin distorted that image. Humanity walked away from God, and many forgot who they were and what they were created for.
Even so, God’s image in us was never erased. And in Jesus, it can be restored
🌿 Let’s Reflect Together
Have you ever seen the reflection of the sky in a calm river? The waters mirror what’s above — the clouds, the light, the beauty of creation.
We were made to reflect something too: the image of our Creator. His goodness, his justice, his love. But when something disturbs the water — like a stone or a storm — the reflection gets blurry.
That’s what sin does in us. It distorts our reflection, our identity, our connection with God.
But Jesus came to heal that distortion. He brings peace to the waters of the soul. His love calms our inner chaos, like a river returning to stillness.
Little by little, he restores in us the beauty of God’s image.
🔥 What Can We Do?
Ask Jesus to restore in you the image that sin has distorted.
See yourself — and others — as people made in God’s image.
Live with dignity: take care of your body, your home, your family, and your land.

Jesus is the perfect image of God. When we look at him, we see who we were created to be. And through him, God is restoring his image in us.
