🪶 Paths of Hope — Devotional 12: A New World Is Coming

📖 God’s Word:

“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’” — Revelation 21:5a

📚 The Story

John, the apostle of Jesus, was imprisoned on an island when he received a vision of what was to come. God showed him something breathtaking — a new heaven, a new earth, and a new city where evil no longer existed.

There, there was no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more death. God Himself wiped every tear from the people’s eyes. And He said:
“I am making everything new.” (Revelation 21:5)

The city had a river flowing from the throne of God, and beside it grew the Tree of Life — just like in the beginning, in the Garden of Eden. The nations would be healed, and the people of God would live with Him forever.

This isn’t a fantasy story. It’s the promise of what’s to come.
The end will be a new beginning.

🌿 Let’s Reflect Together

Have you ever seen the forest renew itself after a fire? At first, there’s only ash. But after a while, new leaves begin to sprout — fruits and flowers appear again.
Life is reborn where everything once seemed lost.

That’s how it will be with the world. Sin has burned much — families, lands, hearts, and stories. But God has promised to restore it all.

The Bible begins with a garden — and ends with a new creation.
It begins with separation — and ends with reconciliation.

But this new creation isn’t only for after death. It has already begun in those who are in Christ.
Everyone who believes becomes part of this new world that is coming.

And more: Jesus sends us to carry this hope to others. While we wait for the new earth, we plant seeds of the Kingdom here and now — when we care for creation, when we forgive, when we bring healing, when we share the good news.

The mission continues. The hope is certain.

🔥 What Can We Do?

✔️ Live as someone who already belongs to the new creation — with hope, love, and holiness.
✔️ Be a sign of the Kingdom today: where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is injustice, bring justice.
✔️ Share with others God’s promise: He will restore all things.

💬 Question for Conversation

Are you living with your eyes fixed on the new creation?
Are you willing to be a messenger of this hope?

✝️ Where Do We See Jesus Here?

Jesus is the beginning of the new creation.
He died and rose again — opening the way to a new world.

He defeated sin, death, and evil.
And He promised: “I will come back.”

While we wait, we look to Him — the King who reigns with justice and will return in power.
He will wipe away our tears and give us an eternal home.

Until then, we walk with faith, love, and mission.

🙏 Let’s Pray Together

“Lord Jesus, thank You for the promise of a new world. Sometimes the pain feels overwhelming, but Your Word gives me hope. Help me live as part of the new creation — with courage and faith. Use my life to plant seeds of Your Kingdom until the day when everything is restored. In Your name, amen.”
